4 Jharkhand devotees returning from Kumbh die as car enters house in UP

Ranchi, February 26: The car of devotees from Jharkhand returning from Maha Kumbh went out of control and entered a house in Uttar Pradesh.

In all four people including the driver died in the mishap.

Three other devotees have been seriously injured. The age of the deceased is between 26 to 30 years.

The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh late on Tuesday night in Kotwali Dehat area on Prayagraj-Ayodhya highway near Baburaha turn.

The driver suddenly fell asleep near Baburaha turn and the car went out of control. The car entered a house on the side of the highway.

Four people died on the spot. The deceased include 26-year-old Abhishek Kumar Ojha (resident of Glass Factory Bhadaninagar), 27-year-old Abhishek Kumar (son of Raj Kumar Singh, resident of Ranchi), 26-year-old Saurabh Gupta (son of Vinod Gupta, resident of Jawaharnagar Old Cinema Hall Bhurkunda) and driver 30-year-old Sanaullah (resident of Upar Chikor, Bhadaninagar).

The condition of Ranchi’s Rohit Kumar Singh, 35-year-old Akash (son of Ravindra Prasad, resident of Jawaharnagar Bhurkunda police station) and 22-year-old Ravi Kumar is critical.

As soon as the news of the incident was received, all the family members left for Pratapgarh (Uttar Pradesh).
