Mahua Maji’s car collides with truck
Ranchi, February 26: Jharkhand Rajya Sabha MP and JMM leader Mahua Maji has been injured in a road accident while returning after taking holy dip from Maha Kumbh when her car collided with a parked truck on NH-75 in Latehar district of Jharkhand on Wednesday.
Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren along with his MLA wife Kalpana Murmu Soren reached the private hospital in Ranchi to meet Mahua Maji who was injured in a road accident.
Hemant Soren and Kalpana Soren enquired about the condition of the JMM leader. Hemant Soren took information about her from the doctors of the hospital.
Mahua Maji was injured in a road accident on Wednesday. Her car met with an accident in Latehar while returning from Mahakumbh. She has been admitted to Orchid Hospital in Ranchi.
Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth also met JMM leader and Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji in the hospital.
Talking to reporters, he said that her car met with an accident while returning from Mahakumbh. She is injured, but her condition is stable. Doctors have assured that she is out of danger. There is nothing to worry about. Three bones of her wrist have been broken. There is a crack in her arm as well.
Apart from Mahua Maji, her son Sombit Maji (42), daughter-in-law Kriti Srivastava Maji (36) and car driver Bhupendra Baskey are injured in the accident.
The accident took place near Khushbu Dhaba on Hotwag NH-75 in Latehar Sadar police station area.
The car in which Mahua Maji and her family were coming hit a parked truck from behind. After the accident, all the people were taken to Sadar Hospital.
Dr. Sunil Kumar Bhagat, posted on duty at Latehar Sadar Hospital said that Rajya Sabha MP has a fracture in her left wrist. Three fractures were found in her wrist in Ranchi. A crack has also been found in her arm.
The incident took place at 4 am in the morning near Maa Vaishnavi Fuels in Satbarwa, Latehar.
