Jamshedpur: The 32nd three-day International Astrology Seminar, jointly organised by the Centre of Astrological Study & Research (CASAR) and the Asian Astrologers Congress, began on a grand note on Friday morning. The seminar was formally inaugurated at 10.30 am by Dr. Alok Ranjan, Minister of Art, Culture and Sports, Government of Bihar, who attended the programme as the chief guest.
The inaugural session witnessed the presence of CASAR Director Prof. Dr. S.K. Shastri along with several senior and renowned astrologers from India and abroad on the dais. Eminent astrologers from various countries including Australia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Canada and Sri Lanka were felicitated during the ceremony. A large number of astrology experts, researchers and students from different states of India also participated, marking the event as a truly international gathering.
Addressing the audience, Dr. Alok Ranjan said that astrology is not merely a tool for predicting the future, but a scientific discipline that provides balance and positive direction in life. He noted that in today’s fast-paced and stressful lifestyle, disciplines such as astrology, palmistry, numerology and Vastu Shastra can help people make informed decisions. He further clarified that while astrology cannot prevent events from occurring, it helps individuals prepare mentally and develop the ability to cope with and minimise adverse effects. Appreciating the sustained efforts of CASAR and its director Prof. Dr. S.K. Shastri said such seminars serve as an effective bridge between traditional knowledge and modern thought.
On the occasion, the chief guest formally released the book Spiritual Astrology authored by Prof. Dr. S.K. Shastri, which encapsulates his 33 years of research, experience and practice. Dr. Alok Ranjan remarked that the book would serve as an important guide for students, researchers and serious readers of astrology. A research journal published by CASAR, featuring selected research papers by associated scholars, was also released during the session.
The afternoon session focused on in-depth discussions on predictive astrology and KP astrology. Astrologer Shailendra Jha presented practical astrological formulas related to understanding stock market movements, which received wide appreciation from the scholars present. Dr. Abhilash highlighted lesser-known aspects of female astrology and shared significant case-based insights. Concluding the session, Prof. Dr. S.K. Shastri unveiled several deep and previously undisclosed astrological formulas explaining life patterns linked to past, present and future lives, which proved especially beneficial for researchers and serious practitioners.
As part of the seminar, free astrological consultations were organised for the general public from 5 pm onwards. A large number of people from Jamshedpur and nearby areas availed themselves of the consultations and expressed satisfaction with the initiative.
