Jamshedpur, Oct 30: A 30-year-old man was lynched to death at Shankarpur Janigora in suburban Parsudih on Thursday night. The victim identified as Rajendra Kumar Sharma scolded drunk couple to keep quiet, but scolding did not go down well with their 20-year-old son who picked up a stick and hit the victim’s head hard.
As a result of the assault, Sharma’s head cracked causing him to fall in a pool of blood. Soon the neighbours rushed the injured to Sadar Hospital in Khasmahal where the doctors on emergency duty declared him as brought dead.
The assailant identified as Rahul Sureen and his father Ram Sureen had instantly fled the spot after the murderous attack on his neighbour, but were caught from a relative’s house in adjoining Sundarnagar thana area on Friday morning. DSP Law & Order Aalok Ranjan informed the media that the baseball and stone used to kill the victims has been seized. The victim was a school van driver and his wife is a tailor.
The incident took place at about 11 pm on Thursday, leading the OC, Parsudih thana, Ajay Kumar to launch a hunt for the killer throughout the night and had finally succeeded in nailing him at his relative’s house where he had taken shelter.
