31 positives up corona tally to 15777 in Jamshedpur

Rare relief as no death recorded in Jharkhand

Jamshedpur, Oct 30: The Covid-19 pandemic in Jamshedpur is showing a declining trend.  31 new positive cases were reported in East Singhbhum district on Friday taking the positive tally to 15777.

The death toll remained at 352 with no death reported on Friday. 28 people recovered of the virus on Friday taking the total recovery to 14235 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1190. The district administration spokesperson informed that 31 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Friday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 107829 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 90% while the mortality rate is 2.2 %.

So far in Jamshedpur 300698 samples have been collected out of which 287041  have been tested and 271264 have turned out to be negative.

The Coronavirus tally in the state on Friday reached 1,01,287 as 323 new were detected across 22 districts of the state. Friday also turned out to be a rare occasion when no death was reported across the state due to Covid-19 as a result of which the overall death count has remained at 883. The mortality rate among the patients currently also stands at 0.87 percent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 5,196 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 95,208. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 883. On Friday no case was found in Chatra and Lohardaga districts. On Friday, a maximum number of 109 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 35 in Dhanbad, 31 in East Singhbhum, 30 in Deoghar and 29 in Bokaro (top five districts). A total of number of 421 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 138 from Ranchi, 54 from Bokaro, 35 from Jamtara, 31 from Dhanbad and 28 from East Singhbhum. Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 93 percent mark to currently stand at 93.99 percent in Jharkhand. So far, in the state 32,83,922 samples have been collected out of which 32,74,987 have been tested and 31,73,700 have turned out to be negative.
