BJP leader Dinesh Kumar defends ‘Gogo Yojna’ amidst Congress criticism

Jamshedpur, October 6: Former BJP district president Dinesh Kumar held a protest against Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar’s remarks, in which he referred to the BJP’s ‘Panch-Pran’ as mere rhetoric. In a press release issued late Sunday, Kumar claimed that the Congress and JMM coalition government in Jharkhand was scared of the widespread acceptance of the ‘Gogo Yojna’ among women.

Kumar stated that leaders like Dr. Ajoy Kumar were concerned about the increasing participation of women in BJP events, reflecting their anxiety over potential losses in their vote bank. Dinesh Kumar accused the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress of deceiving the youth, particularly regarding the promise of providing 5 lakh jobs each year.

Kumar criticized the coalition government for failing to fulfill its electoral promises over the past four and a half years, suggesting that the recent ‘Maiyan Yojna’ was an attempt to mislead women just months before the elections. He asserted that women in Jharkhand had faith in the Bharatiya Janata Party and were hopeful that the ‘Gogo Didi Yojna’ would be implemented once the BJP regained power, providing monthly support of Rs 2100.

He expressed confidence that the people of Jamshedpur would not fall for Dr. Ajoy Kumar’s ‘lies and misleading propaganda,’ citing the decisive defeat Dr. Kumar faced in the 2014 elections. Dinesh Kumar concluded by stating that the BJP alliance government was poised to return to power in Jharkhand with a full majority and that all resolutions, including the Panch Pran, would be fulfilled within the promised timeframe.
