18th Mohan Singh Memorial Floodlight Football Tournament in Jamshedpur on Oct 1

Jamshedpur, Sep 25: The United Football Association (UFA), in association with SCCN News, is set to host the 18th Mohan Singh Memorial One Day Floodlight Football Tournament on October 1, 2024, at the D.V.C. Ground near Manifit Exchange, starting at 7:00 PM.

This much-anticipated tournament will feature participation from a total of 32 teams in an engaging seven-a-side football format. Each match will last 15 minutes, and in the event of a draw, a penalty shootout will determine the winner, ensuring every game concludes decisively.

Prashant Singh ‘Putul,’ Director of SCCN News, during a press conference, said that the referee’s decision will be final in all situations. Teams wishing to participate must ensure they have a jersey and a football in good condition, as these are mandatory requirements. The entry fee for the tournament is set at Rs. 4,000, with a strict deadline for entries on September 28, 2024.

All matches will be officiated by referees from the Jharkhand State Association (JSA), guaranteeing professional conduct throughout the tournament. In terms of rewards, the winning team will receive a cash prize of Rs. 60,000 along with a trophy, while the runner-up will take home Rs. 40,000 and a trophy. Additionally, the third and fourth placed teams will each receive a cash award of Rs. 5,000.
