Jamshedpur, July 5: The 5th CISCE Chess Tournament 2024 for under-14, under-17, and under-19 girls was held today at Ramakrishna Mission English School, Bistupur. A total of 62 girls participated across the three categories, competing for a chance to represent the Jamshedpur zone at the CISCE Regionals in Patna.
In the under-14 category, the top five girls who qualified are: Nitya Bharti from Carmel Junior College, Pragya Bhardwaj from J H Tarapore School, Aadhishree Singh from Hill Top School, Vridhi Agarwal from Carmel Junior College and Divyangana Raj from Sacred Heart Convent School.
The top five girls in the under-17 category are: Aditi Kashyap from J H Tarapore School, Advika Mohanty from Carmel Junior College, Aastha Singh from J H Tarapore School, Nikkitasha Sakhare from Sacred Heart Convent School and Siddhi Nagelia from DBMS School.
In the under-19 category, the top five girls are: Sunidhi Singh from J H Tarapore School, Anjali Singh from VIG English School, Dyuti Chakraborty from Sacred Heart Convent School, Samridhi Budhia from Carmel Junior College and Yashi Khara from Carmel Junior College
The top three students in each category were awarded medals by the guest of honour, Purvi Ghosh, President of Lions Club, along with Jayant Bhuyan, Chandan Kumar Prasad, Chiranji Lall, and Awdesh Kumar, Joint Secretary of ESDCA.
IA Chandan Kumar Prasad served as the tournament director, IA Jayant Bhuyan was the chief arbiter, and IA Vishal Kumar Minz was the deputy chief arbiter for the event.
