Jamshedpur, Jan. 28: Religious organization Atiuttam Shakti Pariwar took out a Kalash yatra from Bagbera Baroda Ghat to Harharguttu Bank Colony (Near TRF Colony) Jai Mata Di Awas on the first day of the 13-day Navratra festival.
The six-km long yatra had a rath with darbar of mata in the front. Behind the Rath women and small children were seen promoting Beti bachao, save water and save environment campaign along with chanting slogans.
The 13-day navratra in the Magh Shukla Paksha begin on Friday, January 27 and would continue till Wednesday, February 8. Founder of the organization, Uttam Kumar performed the rituals and would continue to do so till the concluding day.
On February 4 Mata Ka Jagran will be held and bhog will be distributed. Local bhajan group Sanjay and party (Jai Mata Di group) will present bhajans.
At the kalash yatra devotees in large numbers including women from Bagbera, Harharguttu, Karandih, Parsudih, Railway Colony participated.
To make the religious programme successful, Uttam Kumar, Kaushalya Devi, Radha Muni Dadi, Nirmala Devi, Rustom Kumar, Bajrang Agarwal, Divyasnhu, Kullu, Rishi, Sanyukta Devi, Rekha, Sangeeta, Suman, manoj, Chandrasekhar, Sanjeev Maharaj, and others provided full support.
