Police probe into drug rivalry, personal enimity 

Jamshedpur, July 3:  Seraikela-Kharsawan SP Anand Prakash reached Adityapur police station on Monday morning to investigate the murder case of electrician Mohammed Firoze in Muslim colony under Adityapur police station on Sunday night and questioned Firoze’s family members.

The SP said that the matter would be disclosed soon. He informed that on allegation made by Firoze’s mother, a youth named Khurshid has been taken into custody.

 The SP told the station in-charge to identify and arrest the accused while collecting all the evidence. He has also not ruled out the murder case for supremacy in the brown sugar business but asserted that things would be clear only after investigation.

Last night 27-year-old youth Mohammad Firoze was shot dead in the Muslim Basti.

The mother of the deceased told that her son had told a young man named Khurshid was threatening him.

Taking the statement of the deceased’s mother as the basis, the police arrested Khurshid in the night itself and is interrogating him.

If sources are to be believed then the root cause of the entire controversy is the drug business. The deceased was an electrician by profession but was close to the infamous Kadim Khan. Khurshid was trying to jump into Kadim’s business and establish a monopoly in the brown sugar business. Firoz was opposing it.

Due to this, Khurshid made a plan to remove him from the way.

 But the police have denied Khurshid’s direct involvement. If police sources are to be believed then Khurshid is a pawn, the real player is someone else. It will be revealed soon.
