Jamshedpur, Jan 28: The birthday of former student leader and Jharkhand Pradesh Congress General Secretary Ajay Singh will be celebrated as Yuva Shakti Diwas on January 31, as has been done for the past several years. A large motorcycle rally will mark the occasion.
Thousands of youths are expected to participate in the rally, which will begin from Adityapur S-Type, pass through Bistupur Regal roundabout, and conclude at the Michael John Auditorium in Bistupur. Addressing a press meet at Bistupur hotel on Wednesday, Deepak Mahto stated that the event is non-political in nature, with leaders from various political parties taking part.
Khurshid Alam informed that several prominent leaders are expected to attend, including Congress State President Keshav Mahto Kamlesh, former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay, former State President Rajesh Thakur, Rajesh Kashyap, along with MLAs, ministers, and other dignitaries.
Deepak Mahto further said that during the programme, health workers, sanitation workers, Anganwadi workers, and talented youths will be honoured for their contributions.
Participants will also take a pledge to work towards creating a drug-free society.
Supporters said that thousands of young people consider Ajay Singh their inspiration and have been celebrating his birthday as Yuva Shakti Diwas for the last 10 years.
On the occasion Kundan Rai, Vishal Singh, Mohammad Imran, Hirdesh Yadav, Ashok Sah, Akash Yadav, Vidhan Mahto, Ramchandra Chaki, and youth in large number were present.
