Jamshedpur, Oct 30: Social organization, YUVA (Youth Unity for Voluntary Action) launched its five day residential leadership camp for young girls in Sundernagar. Organization secretary, Barnali Chakraborty informed that the camp had been designed to imbibe leadership skills in young girls for performing individual and collective work in a constructive manner with a resilient mindset. “Girls have been subjected to physical and mental control by a society that looks at girls and women through narrow mentality that stunts the allround development of girls. This camp is designed to develop the sense of security and self belief so that the girls can take the lead individually and collectively and contribute positively to society.”
Fifty young girls from Jamshedpur and Potka rural areas are participating at the camp. The first day’s camp was conducted by Anjana Devgam, Jyoti Hembram, Ritika Kumari and Chandrakala Mujnda.
