Gautam Adani Outlines 3 Foundational Steps to Drive Group’s Next Decade of Growth

Ahmedabad (IANS): Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Wednesday unveiled three foundational steps to drive the conglomerate’s vision over the next decade, focusing on building infrastructure to power India and establishing institutions that ensure human dignity.

Addressing the company’s 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026, Adani emphasized that the future demands unprecedented ambition, discipline, and execution.

“Together, we stand ready—ready to build, ready to serve, and ready to help shape the India whose greatest days lie ahead,” Adani declared.

The Three-Step Strategic Roadmap

Adani outlined a clear, active strategy to transform the group’s operations:

  • Simplifying Operations: The group is implementing a three-layer structure across its headquarters and sites to cut bureaucracy, sharpen accountability, and decentralize decision-making. Non-core activities will transition to Global Capability Centers (GCCs) or nominated partners to ensure every role adds direct value.
  • Revamping Contractor Relations: The group now views contractors as long-term partners in nation-building. Adani promised deeper, more stable partnerships that protect contractor margins and support their growth to deliver projects with greater speed and quality.
  • Prioritizing Worker Dignity: The group is placing worker dignity at the core of its transformation. Across a combined workforce of nearly four lakh people—85% of whom work on-site—the company guarantees clean living conditions, hygienic food, medical access, safe environments, and timely, fair wages.

Expanding Philanthropic and Healthcare Footprints

Alongside corporate growth, the Adani Foundation continues to drive the group’s core purpose. Entering its 30th year under the leadership of Dr. Priti Adani, the Foundation currently impacts 10 million people across 7,000 villages in 22 states.

Adani highlighted several major initiatives:

  • Healthcare Ecosystems: The Foundation is building an ambitious rural vision care ecosystem in Bihar to offer affordable eye care. Additionally, the Adani University of Higher Education and Research and the Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Sciences in Bhuj are developing Centres of Excellence in healthcare education.
  • Adani Health City: This new initiative will bring integrated health campuses to Ahmedabad and Mumbai, featuring 1,000-bed multi-specialty hospitals, medical colleges, transitional care, and research facilities.
  • Skill Development: The group is skilling over 1.25 lakh rural youth to boost employability. This year, the group transitioned from standard training exercises to an industrialized capability model, delivering tens of thousands of training hours.
  • Local Employment: In Kutch, Gujarat, the group’s adoption of ITIs under the Karma Utsav initiative is successfully curbing talent migration by creating a robust local employment engine.
