Jamshedpur, June 24: The Hajj Committee of India, under the Ministry of Minority Affairs, has opened the online application process for Hajj pilgrimage 2027. Eligible applicants can submit their forms through the official website or the Haj Suvidha mobile application from June 22 to July 20, 2026. The application window will close at 11:59 PM on July 20, and no extension will be granted.

Haji Yusuf, a Master Trainer of the Hajj Committee at Madrasa Faizul Uloom in Dhatkidih, said a Hajj training centre has been established to provide guidance and assistance to prospective pilgrims.

Following scrutiny of applications, a computerized random selection process, known as ‘Qurra’, will be conducted in the last week of July 2026. Pilgrims selected provisionally through the draw will be required to deposit an advance amount of Rs1,52,300 by August 10, 2026.

Applicants must upload a machine-readable Indian passport valid until at least December 31, 2027, a recent passport-size photograph, a bank passbook or cancelled cheque, and proof of address. The Hajj Committee has advised applicants to carefully read all guidelines before submitting their forms.

According to a notification issued by CEO Shahnawaz C, cancellation of a confirmed Hajj seat will attract penalties under the Hajj 2027 regulations. Pilgrims have therefore been urged to apply only after making a firm decision to undertake the pilgrimage.
