XLRI hosts 4th GMP Alumni Meet ‘Confluence 2020’

Jamshedpur: XLRI, the oldest B-school in India and one of the finest in Asia, has an illustrious network of alumni, working and serving reputed institutions across the world. PGDM(GM) Alumni committee recently organized the 4th Annual GMP Alumni Meet, Confluence 2020 in virtual mode. The meet is conducted every year to reconnect with GMP alumni and celebrate their success and achievements. The event provides a platform for the current batch to interact with the illustrious alumni of the flagship General Management Programme. It also provides a golden opportunity for the GMP alumni to reminisce about their XL days. The previous three meets were organised in Bangalore, Delhi-NCR and Mumbai.

Confluence 2020 was kicked off by the Keynote address by Fr P Christie SJ, Director of XLRI, following which Prof. Debashish Pradhan, Associate Dean of Executive Programs and Prof Sabyasachi Sengupta addressed the audience. The event also included interactive sessions and online quizzes, but the key highlight of the event was the stand-up performance by eminent stand-up comedian, Vipul Goyal.

The evening saw over 250 participants take part in the fun-filled event that provided a platform for a rekindling of anecdotes of remarkable journeys, poignant stories, and interactive sessions. Illustrious alumni that participated in the event included several CXOs, COOs and several top management executives from illustrious companies like Google, BCG, PwC, KPMG, Accenture Strategy, Infosys Consulting, Delloite, ZS Associates, Wipro, HCL, Deutsche Bank, TCS and Barclays among others. The meet concluded with the closing address of Dr A Kanagaraj, GMP Placement Chairperson.
