World Water Day celebrated at R V S Engineering College

Jamshedpur, Mar 22: On March 22, 2024, World Water Day was celebrated at the local RVS College of Engineering and Technology with fervor and enthusiasm. This year’s theme, “Benefits of Water for Peace,” was central to the discussions and activities held during the event.

Shatrughan Singh, Treasurer of the college, inaugurated the program in the college auditorium, emphasizing the collective responsibility of citizens to prevent water pollution and conserve this precious resource. He reiterated that water is essential for life and urged everyone to make concerted efforts towards its preservation.

Addressing the gathering of teachers and students, Dr. Vikram Sharma, Head of Training and Placement, highlighted the severity of the water crisis faced by cities like Bengaluru and emphasized the need for heightened awareness and action to address this pressing issue.

Among the dignitaries present were Shatrughan Singh, Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, Dean Professor Krishna Murari, and Head of Training and Placement Dr. Vikram Sharma, along with Dr. Surya Bahadur, Head of the Department of Science and Humanity.

The program, skillfully conducted by Dr. Subrato Mahato, acknowledged the significant contributions of Dr. S.P. Singh, Dr. Rekha Tiwari, Dr. Sudhir Jha, Dr. D. K. Haldhar, Professor Pranav Kumar Gautam, Professor Sudha Jha, and Professor Anitagiri in organizing and executing the event.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Mahato extended gratitude to all participants and supporters, underscoring the importance of collective efforts in raising awareness and promoting sustainable water management practices.
