World Bank team reviews rural water supply projects

Jamshedpur: A World Bank team on Monday interacted with drinking water and sanitation department officials of East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts for effective implementation of rural water supply and sanitation projects.

The World Bank team comprising social development and communication specialist Minakshi Tripathy, monitoring and evaluation specialist, Jyoti Prasad and environmental specialist Smita Sinha during a four-hour session with district-level officials of drinking water and sanitation department (DW&SD) at Center For Excellence in the city reviewed the progress of a mega rural water supply project at Bagbera-Govindpur and 93 single village water supply projects in both the districts.

The tender for all the projects will be completed by this week and work order would be issued by this month, sources said.
