TSAF flags off expedition to Mt. Kanamo

Jamshedpur : Tata Steel Adventure Foundation is organizing an Expedition to Mt. Kanamo 19,600 ft. in Spiti HP Himalaya in August 2014. The expert TSAF staff (Mr Rajendra Singh Pal, Mr Hemant Gupta and Ms Bachendri Pal) will be conducting the Expedition which will comprise of 10 Employees and 10 Rural Youth as per names given below —

Tata Steel Employess from different Departments : Dipti Kumari, Puspanjali Mohanta, Vidyotama Rani, Payo Murmu, Ajay Singh, Harish Kumar Sharma, Sonu Kisku, Sunil Purty, Ravi Kumar Singh, Uday Prakash Singh, Deepak Kumar
Rural youth from Kalinganagar Jajpur Road Odisha: Nalini Kanta Mohanta, (Ms) Swagatika Behera , Bijay Kumar Mohanta, Dhaneswar Jena, Matay Hesa, Sahadeb Sahoo, Alok Behera, Gouranga Barik, Jayanti Munda And — Sisir Tarafder being the Area Officer looking after TSRDS activities in Kalinganagar.

The expedition team left today in the early hours. They will reach Kaza the last road head of the expedition on Aug 14th. They will trek to Kibber on Aug. 16th�Kibber is the highest village in the World. Summit Attempt would be on Aug. 19 and 20th. The Expedition would return on Aug. 25th.

Kibber village, perched atop a rocky ridge offers a splendid view of the surrounding peaks. These ranges support a variety of wildlife including wild ungulates such as the ibex and bharal, small mammals like the mountain hare and carnivores including the red fox, wolf and the charismatic snow leopard.

The expedition will focus on not only reaching the Summit but also on promoting Leadership. There are a lot of ways to learn about leadership�books, seminars, classes, degree programs�but how do you learn to be a leader?
