Women, girl students need to be aware of legal rights: Kolhan DIG

Jamshedpur, Feb 27: DIG Kolhan Rajiv Ranjan Singh felt that educational institutions and work places need to make women and girl students aware their legal rights. 
Rajiv Ranjan Singh addressing a seminar on women’s safety challenges and solutions organised by Subhas Yuva Manch founder Paras Nath Mishra at XLRI Auditorium, said the mothers have an important role to teach their girl child about good touch and bad touch from beginning as most of the sexual offences are done by close relatives in the family while educational institutions and work places need to make women aware about their legal rights. Parents should also arrange for self defence training for their girl child. 
The senior cop also asked masses to inform police about such locations where youths assemble without reason.

Jamshedpur city SP Subash Chandra Jatt who was among the special guest asked the girl children to speak clearly without embarrassment to their parents and also the parents to encourage children to speak with them frankly on any issues. He also advised women against sharing their photographs on social media platforms to avoid their misuse in future. 
The program was also attended by woman lawyer Sangeeta Jha, management guru Chandreshwar Khan, CCR DSP Arvind Kumar as special guests.
