Jamshedpur, July 9: Ma Vipattarini was worshipped at all Durga and Kali temples in the city on Tuesday. The Mother is worshipped on the first Tuesday or Saturday after the Rath Yatra. Ma Vipattarini is another form of Mother Durga. According to scriptures, Mother Durga appeared in the form of Vipattarini before Her devotees to protect them from evil forces and ensure peace and wellbeing among them. Vipattarini Devi will also be worshipped on Saturday.

The figure 13 has a place of importance in the worship of Ma Vipattarini. All offerings to the Mother are made on count of 13 like 13 flowers, 13 fruits among others.
On Tuesday, numerous locations in Jamshedpur saw large gatherings of women participating in the worship of Mother Vipattarini. This special puja was performed by women to pray for the safety and well-being of their husbands and families, seeking protection from all kinds of obstacles and evils.

In Sonari Sabuj Sangh, the worship of Mother Vipattarini was performed with great enthusiasm and devotion. The rituals were performed with utmost dedication, and women observed a fast while participating in the worship.
Thirteen types of offerings were made to the deity, and prasad was distributed to all present after the completion of the rituals. The event highlighted the deep faith and devotion of the women in the community, who gathered in large numbers to honor Mother Vipattarini.

Ma Vipattarini was also worshipped at Sri-Sri Shyama Ma Kali Mandir in Birsanagar, Sri Bhawani Kali Mandir at Ramnagar in Kadma, Kadma Durgabari, Sakchi Durgabari, Namda Basti Kali Mandir, and Jamshedpur Durgabari among other venues.
At Namda Basti Kali Mandir, 600 women devotees were offered prasad in cloth bags as a novel gesture in support of plastic ban.
