Jamshedpur: Kalyan Mela was organized at Gudiya Maidan community centre in Birsanagar on Sunday by the local unit of BJP. KYC forms were collected from 60 women who had applied for free LPG connection under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme. Pension approval certificates were given to 45 women while ration cards were given to 15 women by Pawan Agrawal, representative of Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
Addressing the gathering, Agrawal said empowering women was the need of the hour. He said every scheme of the government had women at its centre. He said welfare of the poor people is the top priority of the government. He said the Raghubar Das government was rendering quality and corruption-free services to the people and that too, in a transparent manner.
