Vikram Sharma Murder Case: Dumka Jail Link Emerges, ₹1 Lakh Reward Announced

Jamshedpur: Even two months after the sensational killing of businessman Vikram Sharma, the main shooters involved in the case remain absconding, raising serious questions over the pace of the investigation.

Police Intensify Multi-State Raids

Teams from Dalanwala Police Station have expanded their search operations beyond Uttarakhand, conducting raids in Jharkhand’s Lohardaga and Dumka districts. Officials confirmed that efforts are underway not only to nab the shooters but also to identify individuals who may have provided them shelter after the crime.

Fresh Interrogation in Dumka Jail

In a significant development, the Dehradun police have once again questioned Akhilesh Singh, who is currently lodged in Dumka Jail. Sources said this marks the second round of interrogation, as investigators attempt to trace the escape route of the accused and gather leads on their current whereabouts. He had earlier been questioned in connection with the same case soon after the murder.

High-Profile Murder at Mall

The case dates back to February 13, 2026, when Vikram Sharma was shot dead in broad daylight at Silver City Mall, triggering panic and drawing widespread attention. Despite multiple leads and sustained efforts, the shooters have so far evaded arrest.

List of Accused and Reward Announced

Police have identified several suspects believed to be directly involved in the murder. These include Vishal Kumar Singh and Yashraj from Garhabasa (Bagbera), Ashutosh Kumar Singh from Jugsalai, Akash Kumar Prasad from Bagbera, Jitendra Kumar Sahu from Ulidih, and Ankit Verma from Lohardaga.

To expedite their arrest, authorities have announced a reward of ₹1 lakh for each accused. Wanted posters have also been pasted at their residences, signaling increased pressure on the fugitives and their associates.

Focus on Local Network

Investigators are now focusing on dismantling the support network that may have helped the accused evade capture. Police sources indicated that anyone found aiding the fugitives will face strict legal action.

Despite intensified efforts and multiple leads, the case remains unresolved, keeping both law enforcement agencies and the public on edge as the search for the shooters continues.
