Water Harvesting System installed at Tata Workers Union School

Jamshedpur, Aug 1: In a commendable effort towards sustainable water management, the Inner Wheel Club Jamshedpur West has successfully installed water harvesting system at the Tata Workers Union School. The initiative aims to conserve and reuse rainwater effectively within the school premises.

The newly installed water harvesting system not only stores rainwater but also incorporates a water filter machine and a 12-foot-deep tank to facilitate water collection and reuse. Through a network of pipes, rainwater from the school building’s rooftop is filtered and directed to the underground storage through deep boring.

The inauguration of this eco-friendly water harvesting system took place in the presence of Ashish Kumar, who lauded the efforts of the club. Club President Babita Kedia, along with Nibha Mishra, Sanobar Hasan, Papia Chatterjee, Antara Chakraborty, Urvashi Verma, Renu Harsana, Nivedita Sinha, and school teacher Shipra Mishra, were among the esteemed individuals present at the event.

The implementation of this water harvesting system is expected to contribute significantly to water conservation in the school and foster a culture of environmental consciousness among the students and staff.
