Voters defy Maoist threat

Ranchi: Voters dared maoist threat in the four Lok Sabha constituencies in the third and final round of Parliamentary elections in the state on Thursday.

Barring one incident, the situation was largely peaceful all over the state. This time round, voting percentage has increased from 10 to 15 per cent.

In the first phase, 59 per cent voters polled in Chatra, Kodarma, Palamu and Lohardagga while in the second phase, over 62 per cent voters exercised their voting right in Giridih, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Singhbhum, Khunti and Hazaribagh.
