Jamshedpur: The Birsanagar unit of Basti Vikas Samiti today conducted a voters� awareness program at the Sunday Market ground today. The guests included Dr Amar Kumar, Manoj Kishore and Khemlal Chowdhary. The guests on the occasion stressed on the importance of every vote that could make or break a government. As an example, it was stated that the government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee fell because of a single vote.
Addressing the gathering at Sunday Market in Birsanagar, Dr Amar Kumar averred, �The powers of a democracy lay on the people and the opportunity to utilize this power comes every five years. This opportunity should not be lost at any cost. You should maintain an absolutely neutral status while taking a decision. With one correct decision, the imperialist rule in France was overthrown while in Germany, one wrong decision led to the advent of Dictator Adolf Hitler.�
The meeting was conducted by BVS vice president Ajay Singh while the vote of thanks was proposed by Ishan Pradhan.
