Chandil, August 18: Several villagers protested in front of Chowka Police Station and blocked road after a villager was killed by a naxal on Saturday.
Villagers of Hensachowka village and around are living in fear. On Monday villagers including women protested and demanded compensation for the family of deceased.
Road block led to 3km long jam at NH-33. On the ocassion Chandil DSP Vimal Kumar, Officer Arvind Kumar Singh, BDO Pradeep Bhagat, CO Ravindra Gagrai and Police Station incharge Rajdev Singh held talks with the villagers and immediately provided the family of Jagran majhi Rs.10,000.
The villagers demanded a government job to his kin and full proff security in the village which the police officials agreed. Villagers threated of massive protest at NH-33 if their demands are not met.
