Ranchi: Vigilance department sleuths of the state government today conducted a raid at the residence of an executive engineer of the public works department, Sonelal Das, in Hazaribagh and claimed to have unearthed immovable property worth several crores.
Das is presently posted in Chaibasa. DSP of vigilance department Mithilesh Singh said the team had come to know about flats owned by Das in Hazaribagh and Patna.
He said an investigation was on to find out more about the property held by Das. The vigilance sleuths had nabbed Das red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000.
