Jamshedpur: Members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP), Jamshedpur Mahanagar, today demanded a CBI probe into the allegations of forcing national level archer Tara Shahdeo to change her religion against her will by a youth in Ranchi.
They said the youth tortured the woman and cheated on her by impersonating as a Hindu man before marrying her.
They said the police should take stringent measures against the accused and ensure that such incidents are not repeated.
The outfit members have written to PM Narendra Modi through the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum in this connection.
