Vaishnavi of DPS Ranchi, balancing studies and hobbies, tops Jharkhand in CBSE Class 12 Humanities

Ranchi, May 13: Vaishnavi Swadha, a student of Delhi Public School (DPS) Ranchi, has emerged as the Humanities stream topper in Jharkhand in the CBSE Class 12 Board Examination 2025, scoring a remarkable 99.6%. Her exceptional score is a matter of pride not only for her school but for the entire state. The principal of DPS Ranchi said, “It is a matter of immense pride for the whole of Jharkhand that our student has become the state topper.”

What makes Vaishnavi’s success even more inspiring is her stress-free and balanced approach to studies. “I never followed any fixed strategy or timetable. I studied only when I felt like it,” she shared. During free periods at school, she preferred revising rather than wasting time.

Vaishnavi credited her hobbies, especially singing and dancing, as stress-busters that helped her stay calm and focused. “I used to listen to songs even at 12 in the night. It kept my mind relaxed and made me feel like studying,” she said.

Like many other toppers, she relied heavily on NCERT textbooks and dismissed the use of market-based guess papers. “NCERT is government authorized and highly reliable. I studied and revised it again and again. That became the backbone of my success,” she added.

The role of family support was also crucial in her journey. “My parents provided a very positive environment. Whatever I needed, they arranged it without any delay. I never had to worry about anything. That support meant a lot,” Vaishnavi said.

Sharing advice for future aspirants, Vaishnavi emphasized the importance of early preparation. “Don’t leave anything for the last minute. What if you fall ill before the exams? Preparation should begin early, and revision should be the last step. Consistency is the biggest key to success,” she stated.

With her calm, consistent approach and a perfect balance between passion and studies, Vaishnavi has proven that success does not always require strict strategies—sometimes, a heartfelt effort is enough to reach the top.
