Urban Risers Hyderabad beats Southern Superstars by 13 runs

Ranchi: In the third match of Legends League Cricket (LLC) being played at JSCA International Stadium, UrbanRisers Hyderabad captained by Raina defeated Southern Superstars captained by Ross Taylor by 13 runs. While chasing the target of 157 runs from UrbanRisers Hyderabad, Southern Superstars collapsed on 143.

Southern Superstars captain Ross Taylor won the toss and decided to field first. Thanks to Martin Guptill’s 46 runs in 28 balls and finally Yogesh Nagar’s 40 runs in 29 balls, UrbanRisers Hyderabad scored 156 runs after losing all the wickets. Hameed Hasan of Southern Superstar took 4 wickets with his fast bowling. Whereas Abdur Razzaq (2/21) and Suranga Lakmal (2/22) took 2-2 wickets. UrbanRisers Hyderabad captain Suresh Raina could not make an impact with the bat and returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 runs.

The Southern Superstar, who set out to chase the target, did not get off to a good start. Both the openers Upul Tharanga and Jesse Ryder returned to the pavilion at the score of 10 runs. Munaveera Dilshan tried to control the innings by scoring 34 runs but wickets kept falling at regular intervals from the other end. The entire team of Southern Superstars was all out after scoring 143 runs. Pawan Suyal (23/3), Christopher Mpofu (23/2) of UrbanRisers Hyderabad bowled economically.
