Jamshedpur:�On the occasion of International Day of Older Persons, observed every year on October 1, United Bureau of Human Right and Crime Control (UBHRCC) Jharkhand celebrated the day at Ram Mandir premises in Bistupur. State President of Bureau Pavan Agrahari greeted the priests of the mandir. Priests Kandomacharya, Sheshadri, Visheswar Rao, Ram Mandir manager Manmadh Rao and Dr Pratima Sen Gupta felicitated the elderly and offered gifts to them on the occasion. Also present were Bureau state coordinator Srikant dev, Sanjay Seksaria, Heera Ghosh, Shyam and Aman Agrahari took blessing from the elderly.
Srikant Dev said, the year 2020 marks the�75th Anniversary of the United Nations�and the 30th Anniversary of the International Day of Older Persons. On 14 December 1990, the United Nations General Assembly designated October 1 as the International Day of Older Persons.
