Jamshedpur East MLA Purnima Sahu visited a fire-affected family in Cable Basti, Golmuri, on Friday. She promised all possible assistance to help them recover.
The devastating fire completely destroyed the house and personal belongings of Line No. 3 resident Shakuntala Devi. The tragic incident left her family facing a severe crisis.
During her visit, Sahu met Shakuntala Devi and her family members. She inquired about their well-being and listened to their immediate requirements.
Recognizing the extreme difficulties of the victims, Sahu provided essential food supplies directly to the family. This immediate relief aims to support them through the emergency.
The lawmaker arranged temporary shelter using fifteen BlueScope tin sheets and sturdy iron pipes. This structure provides a safe place to stay until permanent arrangements exist.
Sahu contacted the Circle Officer over the phone directly from the disaster spot. She informed the official about the tragic incident and demanded swift government assistance.
The Circle Officer assured the lawmaker that officials would visit the scene soon. They will assess the total damage and initiate official government relief provisions.
The MLA expressed deep concern over the severe losses suffered by the victim’s family. She pledged continuous efforts to secure long-term support for them.
Several political leaders accompanied the lawmaker during her visit to the site. BJP Golmuri Mandal General Secretary Ashok Samant attended the meeting.
Mahila Morcha Mandal President Bimla Sahu also arrived at the location. Party workers Rakesh Kumar and Rahul Yadav joined the relief inspection.
A large number of local residents gathered at the spot during the visit. They voiced their solidarity with the suffering family members.
