Two injured in van-trailer smash-up in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 21: Two persons were injured in a road accident near Shyamsunderpur on Saturday. They were identified as Deepak Pradhan and Balwant Das, both residents of Baliapal, Odisha. They were sent to MGM Hospital.

Sources said the mishap occurred when a pick-up van rammed into a trailer truck in Shyamsunderpur at high speed. The van was loaded with green coconuts. Its driver Deepak Pradhan and cleaner Balwant Das were seriously injured in the incident. They said the pick-up van was at full speed. It rammed into the truck from behind when the truck driver applied brake, they told cops.
