East Singhbhum Launches Week-Long Doorstep Welfare Campaign for PVTG Families

Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum district administration launched a campaign to deliver government welfare scheme benefits directly to the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) families at their doorsteps.

The week-long campaign will run from May 18 to May 25, 2026. The district administration is executing the drive following directives from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, and the Government of Jharkhand.

One-Stop Welfare Camps in Remote Villages

Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan stated that authorities are organizing large-scale camps across remote, tribal-dominated villages to provide essential services and welfare benefits on a single platform.

Under this initiative, eligible beneficiaries can access:

  • Health check-ups and medical support
  • Identification card and document verification
  • Pension enrollments and ration card issuance
  • Ayushman Bharat registrations
  • Housing schemes, education, drinking water, and social security programs

The Deputy Commissioner informed that the campaign kicked off on May 18 under the banner of “Jan Bhagidari Saptah” (Public Participation Week). From May 19 to May 25, officials are running saturation camps and health check-up programs in identified villages to ensure every eligible family receives government support.
