Two day ICAI academic seminar commences in Jamshedpur today

Jamshedpur, May 12: The Jamshedpur branch of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will organize a two-day academic seminar on May 13 and 14 (Friday and Saturday) at a hotel in Golmuri. It will be organized by the CPE committee of ICAI and will be hosted by the Jamshedpur branch.

ICAI Jamshedpur President CA Pankaj Singhari, while providing details of the two day event, named ‘Utkarsh’ will organize detailed discussions on types of taxation, Companies Act, changes in professional ethics and other relevant issues. The National President and Vice President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, CA Debasish Mishra and CA Aniket Sunil Talati respectively will participate in the program through virtual medium. Singhari said Central Council member CA Gyanchand Mishra and Regional Council member CA Manisha Biyani would also attend the program.

The two day programme will be inaugurated on Friday, May 13 following which CA Kaushal Kumar from New Delhi will speak on GST notices and assessment.  Central Council member CA Gyan Chandra Mishra from Ghaziabad will be the next speaker on practical aspects of professional ethics. The third topic will be on the important changes in the Companies Act 2013 in Caro 2020 and Schedule 3. The speaker for the topic wil;l be CA Kamal Garg from Delhi.

 On the second day of the program, on May 14, the remaining two topics will be discussed. In the first session, the fourth topic will be on simple mistakes in accounting standards, on which CA Chintan Patel of Ahmedabad will give his lecture, while in the second session,  CA Avinash Gupta from Delhi will discuss the fifth and final topic on faceless assessment and appeal under Income Tax Act.
