Jamshedpur: One arrested for stealing money from temple

Jamshedpur, May 12: Birsanagar police arrested one Sanju Gope alias Suku for allegedly stealing money from the donation box of Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir in Zone No 3 of Birsanagar here on Thursday.

The accused had allegedly entered the temple premises by breaking the lock of its gate and stolen money from the donation box by breaking its locks. Two more persons accompanied him during the crime. They were arrested earlier, cops said.

Dowry case registered at Mango PS

Jamshedpur, May 12: One Nilima Das of Mango has accused her husband Rakesh Das and his relatives of torturing her for dowry. She said her husband and in-laws had made it difficult for her to live in her matrimonial house, police said.

The accused persons have been putting pressure on Nilima to bring dowry, cops said.

Seven booked for murderous assault

Jamshedpur, May 12: One Rajesh Kaivarto of Bhuiyandih has accused seven persons of assaulting him with the intention of murdering him. He was injured in the incident and taken to hospital, cops said.

Kaivarto said he was at his house yesterday evening when the accused persons barged into his house and attacked him.

Cops said an FIR has been lodged against the accused persons.
