We welcome everyone to be a part of this signature event and interact with eminent artists through the workshops and talks that have been organized, said Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Designate Tata Steel.
Tata Steel has a long-standing association with arts. Apart from patronising several artists over the years, it also organised Art in Industry for the first time at Centre for Excellence in 1993, with 10 artists of national repute. This was a unique platform that connected emerging and eminent artists, youth, art connoisseurs and society at large. The endeavor aimed to foster participation in softer skills and community development.
We are extremely delighted to be in Jamshedpur for the first Art Residency hosted by Tata Steel. It gives opportunity to the artists fraternity to exchange their world views and help evolve the level of art in the country. It is my hope the Residency will be a good learning experience for the art lovers of Jamshedpur. said Padma Shri Paresh Maity.
Twenty five years down the line, Tata Steel has remained steadfast in its belief that art reflects the nations ethos and heritage and has demonstrated a strong interest in supporting artists across the country. In keeping with the global trend of art camps, the Company has been successfully bringing together budding artists and eminent figures who have made their mark in the world of art.
Art Residency, which is to be held at the Centre for Excellence from November 10 – 22, 2018, is a wider format of the previously held Art-in-Industry camps.
