Jamshedpur, May 21: A truck cleaner, Sanjeet Kumar Rai, succumbed to critical injuries at Tata Main Hospital on Saturday. He was injured when he jumped from the driver’s cabin of his truck near Pardih Chowk under apprehension that the vehicle would overturn.
Meanwhile, Uma Shankar Rai, father of the deceased, alleged that it was a murder and claimed that he had found injury marks on the body of his son. He claimed that the incident took place on the night of 16th May last.
Police officials however said that Sanjeet had jumped from the stationary truck when the truck’s wheels were sinking into a nearby drain. Sanjeet and the truck driver Karan Singh were waiting for the no entry to end when the incident occurred, said police officials.
