Jamshedpur, Oct 15: A truck carrying rice turned turtle on the National Highway 49 under Barsole police station area of Baharagora on Saturday. Its driver and cleaner however survived in the incident, sources said.
According to sources, the driver lost control over the vehicle on the road leading to Gohlamura village. The incident happened in the afternoon. The truck was carrying rice to Globus Spirit Company.
Police officials said they were probing the incident.
Local villagers said the road should not be allowed to be used by heavy vehicles as many students use it on a daily basis. They said there was no parking facility for heavy vehicles frequenting the two companies situated nearby.
