Jamshedpur : A truck carrying empty cement plastic bags caught fire at the Kadma end of the Adityapur toll bridge under Kadma thana area on Friday morning. The fire which was started due to a short circuit reduced the cement bags to ashes, leaving the truck got gutted.
The fire incident took place at an isolated place of the Adityapur toll bridge, causing no casualty . The driver and the cleaner escaped unhurt in the mishap.
OC, Kadma police station RD Singh said soon after getting the information about the fire in the truck, he informed the fire-brigade.”
As we received information we informed the Golmuri-based government fire station immediately after getting information about the fire mishap. It took about half-an-hour for a fire-tender to arrive at the spot from the Jharkhand fire station in Golmuri. But by the time the fire-tender came the sacks were gutted and also the truck aflame,” said the officer-in-charge.
Singh said that the truck was coming from Adityapur industrial area carrying the cement sacks and was heading for Govindpur through the Adityapur toll bridge.
