Jamshedpur, Nov 20: A man, identified as Raja Roshan, a city resident, was crushed to death on the Tata-Kandra main road near Gamharia by a speedy trailer on Wednesday.
Irked over the incident, local residents blocked the main road for several hours while demanding arresting of the errant truck driver and compensation for the bereaved family.

Sources said the mishap occurred near Kedia fuel station when the truck took the man in its spate. The deceased was on his way to Kandra all the way from Jamshedpur. He was identified with the help of an identification card found in his pocket. He was an employee of IBKFC, a local company, sources said.
Protestors alleged that the service road was often encroached which led to such incidents.
