Jamshedpur, June 25: Light drizzle across Jharkhand, including Kolhan, on Tuesday provided some relief from the intense heat. Garhwa district recorded the highest temperature at 40.9 degrees Celsius, while Ramgarh saw the highest rainfall with 4.0 mm. The temperatures in Garhwa, Palamu, and Daltonganj surpassed 40 degrees Celsius. In Jamshedpur, the maximum temperature reached 39.5 degrees Celsius, and the minimum was 28.4 degrees Celsius. Saraikela and West Singhbhum recorded maximum temperatures of 39.6 and 37.6 degrees Celsius, respectively. East Singhbhum and Saraikela experienced drizzle on Tuesday, with the Meteorological Department predicting significant rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms on Wednesday.
According to the Meteorological Department’s Ranchi Center, heavy rain is expected across most districts in Jharkhand. On June 26, northeastern and southern parts of the state, including Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, Sahebganj, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, and Saraikela Kharsawan, are likely to experience heavy rain. On June 28 and 29, the northwestern and central parts, including Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Koderma, Latehar, Lohardaga, Ranchi, Bokaro, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti, and Ramgarh, are also expected to receive substantial rainfall.
