TMH waives Rs 85 thousand bill of financially weak patient

Jamshedpur, May 18: Tata Main Hospital(TMH) waived off Rs 85000 bill amount of Mango Subhash Colony resident Umakant Thakur after his family members were unable to pay the whole amount of Rs 2.10 lakh given by the hospital.

Umakant’s family paid Rs 1.25 lakh and seeing the financial problems his son Pavan Kumar and daughter Priyanka Thakur contacted BJP leader Priti Singh and informed her the situation.

Priti took them to chief minister Raghubar Das’s residential office in Sidhgora and urged to help waive off the bill citing financial problem. After which the hospital waived off Rs 85 thousand.

Significantly Umakant was admitted to TMH on April 30 after a wall of Manish Singh’s house fell in Daiguttu and he was seriously injured.
