The morning began with students learning a song on different countries and watching a presentation and puppet show to understand the concept of their home, city and country.
Thereafter, the students proceeded to explore the various country stalls that had been put up for them. They were all given a passport and some Indian currency. As they proceeded from one country to another, they had to get their passports stamped and exchange their currency.
At each country stall they had different activities. In Japan they make cherry blossom fans with cotton buds, made noodles and also had their photo taken wearing a kimono. In Italy, they made mosaics, learnt the colours of the flag by segregating pasta and also made their own pizza and ate it too. In the jungles of Kenya, they made African masks, tribal jewelry and sat under a tree for to hear a folk tale.
In India, they learnt a dance form, make an Indian flag which they wore proudly on their sleeve and also made jhaal muri for themselves. The show was a grand success with the toddlers having learnt the idea of different countries and having received an exposure to their cultures.
