Bus Catches Fire on Mango’s Old Purulia Road, Reduced to Ashes

Widespread chaos erupted near Madina Garden on Old Purulia Road, under the jurisdiction of the Mango Police Station, after a stationary bus suddenly caught fire on Wednesday morning.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire originated from an electrical short circuit inside the vehicle. The flames spread with extreme speed, taking a formidable shape within minutes. The thick smoke and towering flames rapidly engulfed the entire vehicle, reducing it completely to a mangled skeleton of metal and ashes.

Firefighters Struggle to Douse Flames

As the fire grew aggressive, panicking local residents and onlookers rushed to the spot and immediately alerted the local fire department. Fire brigade personnel arrived promptly and, after a strenuous effort, successfully managed to extinguish the blazing fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.

Major Tragedy Averted

Fortunately, a major tragedy was averted as there were no passengers on board the bus at the time of the incident. No injuries or casualties were reported, though the vehicle has been completely destroyed, resulting in substantial financial loss.

Team from the Mango Police Station, alongside the fire department, have arrived at the scene and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the short circuit.
