Noamundi, August 10: Pilgrims thronged Murga Mahadev temple on second Monday of saavan to offer water on the Phallic of Shiva.
Around 45 thousand devotees reached Murga Mahadev temple from various part of Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhatisgarh and West Bengal to perform puja.
They offered holy water, bale patra, milk and coconut onto the Phallic. The entire atmosphere was charged with the charisma of devtional sentiments.
The chanting of Bolbam, Bhole nath Ki jay ho created resonance within the temple premises. According to the temple president Viro Nayak,”Despite our own security arrangements, the government of Odisha and Jharkhand has tightened the security arrangements.
Medical teams have also been deployed for the devotees at Murga Mahadev during their sacred journey to the temple.
