Thieves target Tata Steel employee’s house in Jamshedpur, decamp with cash and jewelry worth Rs 11 lakh

Jamshedpur, July 7: Thieves took away cash and jewelry worth Rs 11 lakh from a quarter in BH Area under Kadma police station area on Wednesday.

Sources said the thieves targeted the house of Tata Steel employee Mohammad Asadullah when he had gone to DAV School with his wife to bring his daughter. When Asadullah came back, he found the locks broken and the cash and valuables missing from the safe.

The thieves scaled the boundary wall of the house through an alley and opened the almirah easily as its keys were hanging from the keyhole. They took away two diamond rings, diamond nose pin, Rs 30,000 cash and other gold and silver jewelry items, said Asadullah.
