Tatanagar station: Inquiry service to be outsourced

Jamshedpur, Dec 7: The inquiry counter at Tatanagar Railway station is all set to be passed on to privage agencies as the Railways have decided to outsource the service very soon, sources said.

Sources said the Railways have also decided to hand over the inquiry services of Chakradharpur, Rajgangpur, Rourkela and Jharsugora stations to private agencies. Tenders have been floated at departmental level. The last date of filling the online tender form is 16th December, sources said.

Sources said the tender value is Rs 1.13 crore for a period of two years. The inquiry counter, after outsourcing, would be known as Sahyog, sources said.

So far, coachmen and train TTEs have been rendering their services at the inquiry counters. There will be six employees at Tatanagar station to look after the inquiry services, sources said.
