Five arrested for stealing Railway goods in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Dec 7: Police arrested five persons in connection with the theft of goods belonging to the Railways within 24 hours of the incident. Those arrested were identified as Sahdev Gope, Mathura Gope, Sunil Gope, Dilkhush Gope and Dhireni Gope, all local residents.

Sources said the accused persons had allegedly stolen the goods from Rakha Mines late yesterday night. Sahdev was allegedly caught red-handed by the security personnel of the contractor. His four aides were arrested during raids later. Police said several associates of the accused persons managed to escape from the crime scene. 

The work of laying of third rail line is on near Rakha Mines railway station.
