Jamshedpur, June 16: Railway passengers travelling through Tatanagar are likely to face disruptions later this week as operational works and line blocks will affect the movement of several trains, including the popular Puri–Anand Vihar Nilanchal Express.
Railway officials said the Nilanchal Express will operate on a diverted route on June 20 due to ongoing track-related works. Instead of passing through Amethi and Gauriganj, the train will be routed via Rae Bareli and Moradabad in both the up and down directions.
Further inconvenience is expected on June 21 when a line block in the Kharagpur Division impacts train operations. As a result, the Howrah–Mumbai Gitanjali Express, Junagadh–Howrah Ispat Express and Tatanagar–Kharagpur Express are scheduled to leave behind their designated timings, with delays ranging from over an hour to nearly two hours.
The Chakulia–Tatanagar MEMU passenger service has also been cancelled for June 21 owing to the block. Railway authorities have advised passengers to verify train schedules and running status before commencing their journeys.
